Thank you so much for visiting my page.  I am happy you're here.  My name is MacKenzie Dore and I am the owner and photographer of Mac Dore Photography.

I have always seemed to have a camera in my hand from a young age  and have been passionate about documenting special milestones. I love being able to share in the most important events and milestones in the lives of my clients. I feel blessed to be able to share my work with others.

When I am not behind my camera, you will usually find me with my beautiful daughters, Kendall, 18 and Emma, 16.  I am originally from northern California, in the Sierras, but have lived all over the United States.

I graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Elementary Education in the year 2000 and from Grand Canyon University with a Master’s in Teaching in 2004.  I am a credentialed teacher in the state of California and have worked with children for over twenty years.

In 2010, I took up photography as a hobby, until people started to offer to pay me to take their pictures.  From there, Mac Dore Photography has skyrocketed.  Some of my clients have referred to me as the ‘baby whisperer’ and I have changed many people’s ideas about what photo sessions are like.  I am not the posey photographer.  When you are in a session with me, we make memories that you don’t even realize we’re making.  Hopefully, you’re just having fun in the process.

I have a broad range of photography skills and love to photograph many niches including, but not limited to, weddings, newborns, engagements, families, babies, boudoir, events, senior portraits, and maternity.

I am now focusing on my photography full-time and am loving it.  My girls and I recently relocated back to Simi Valley, CA.   Life is short, capture every moment.
